Ginger beer was popular in Australia with many companies producing their own version of the drink. Up until the 1930's the majority of manufacturers used stone bottles. It was decided that stone ware was less than hygienic, and glass was also cheaper, hence glass ginger beers became more commonplace.
Amongst the glass ginger beers, South Australia has arguably one of the best looking pictorial ginger beers or glass dump soda's in Australia with the Federal ginger beer picture at the top of the page.
